And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
