Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
