Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 can lure away from God any 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
