Al-Shooraa 4 of 5
Whatever misfortune befalls you is a consequence of your deeds; yet He forgives much. 30 Ye cannot escape in the earth, for beside Allah ye have no protecting friend nor any helper. 31 And of His portents are the ships, like banners on the sea; 32 If He willed, He could still the wind, and they would remain motionless on its surface. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful. 33 Or He could wreck them for what they have done; yet there is much that He pardons. 34 But let those know, who dispute about Our Signs, that there is for them no way of escape. 35 AND [remember that] whatever you are given [now] is but for the [passing] enjoyment of life in this world - whereas that which is with God is far better and more enduring. [It shall be given] to all who attain to faith and in their Sustainer place their trust; 36 And those who shun the worst of sins and indecencies and, when they are wroth, forgive, 37 who respond to their Lord and attend to their prayers; who conduct their affairs by mutual consultation and spend out of what We have provided for them; 38 And those who, when great wrong is done to them, defend themselves, 39 The recompense of evil is evil the like of it. But he who forgives and makes amends, his reward lies with Allah. Surely He does not love the wrong-doers. 40 And whosoever vindicateth himself after wrong done to him; these! against them there is no way of blame. 41 The way (of blame) is only against those who oppress mankind, and wrongfully rebel in the earth. For such there is a painful doom. 42 And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah. 43

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
