Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
