(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
