Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
