And certainly the warning came to Firon's people. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the guilty are in error and distress. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
