Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
