Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble recorders, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
