The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
