The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 It will engulf them. 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
