The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
