The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
