Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
