The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
