Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8
