The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 who observe Zakah; 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
