The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are revelations of the Scripture that maketh plain. 2 It may be thou frettest thy soul with grief, that they do not become Believers. 3 But if We had so willed, We could have sent down to them a sign from the heavens so that their heads would be bowed down before it in utter humility. 4 But never fresh remembrance comes to them from the All-merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Do they not see the earth, how We grow all kinds of noble things upon it? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 9
