Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
