Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
