T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
