Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 We glorify God." 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 That they would be helped, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
