Indeed, for the righteous with their Lord are the Gardens of Pleasure. 34 Should We treat those who submit and obey in the same way as those who are culpable? 35 What is the matter with you? How could you judge this to be so? 36 Or have you a Book in which you read 37 that you will be granted whatever you choose? 38 Or have you received from Us an agreement confirmed by an oath extending to the day of resurrection that you shall surely have what you demand? 39 Ask them, which of them will vouch for that! 40 Or have they other partners [besides God]? Let them bring forth their other partners, if what they say be true. 41 Upon the day when the leg shall be bared, and they shall be summoned to bow themselves, but they cannot; 42 Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). 43 So leave Me, (O Prophet), to deal with him who gives the lie to this Discourse. We shall draw them little by little (to their undoing) in a way that they will not know. 44 I am giving them a respite. Great is My scheme! 45 Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 46 Or do they have knowledge of the unknown which they copy down? 47 Wait patiently for your Lord's judgement; do not be like the man who, having been swallowed by a whale, called out in distress. 48 Had it not been that favour from his Lord had reached him he surely had been cast into the wilderness while he was reprobate. 49 Then his Lord chose him, and He made him of the good. 50 And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say: Most surely he is mad. 51 But it is nothing other than a Reminder for all the worlds. 52
