Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
