The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And no trifle. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
