Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
