The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created the human being 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
