Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 #NAME? 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 all this will be theirs; let them taste it -- a scalding, dark, foul fluid, 57 And other torments, like thereof, conjoined. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will say nay! it is ye, for whom there is no welcome: it is ye who have brought it upon us. Evil shall be the resting-place. 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Surely that is true the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire 64
