▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 With two springs of water flowing through them both. -- 50 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 51 Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 53 Reclining upon thrones that are lined with brocade, with the fruit of both Gardens close enough to be picked from under. 54 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 55 Therein shall be those of refraining looks whom before them hath deflowered neither man nor jinn. 56 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 57 As though they are jacinth and coral. 58 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 59 What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? 60 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 61 And besides these shall be two gardens -- 62 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 63 Dark green [in color]. 64 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 65 In both of them are two springs, spouting. 66 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 67 In both of them there will be fruit trees and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 therein maidens good and comely -- 70 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 71 Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions - 72 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 73 Untouched by any man or jinn, before them. 74 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 75 They shall be reclining on green cushions and splendid carpets. 76 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 77 Blessed be your Lord's name, full of glory and majesty! 78
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
