When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we then be raised again? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 48 Say: "Verily, those of olden times and those of later times 49 shall be gathered to the appointed time of a known day. 50 Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers, 51 "Ye will surely taste of the Tree of Zaqqum. 52 filling your bellies, with it 53 And shall be drinkers thereon of boiling water. 54 Lapping it up like female camels raging of thirst with disease." 55 Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital! 56 We have created you, why do you not then assent? 57 Behold! that which ye emit. 58 Do you create a child out of it, or are We its creators? 59 We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped; 60 from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 61 And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises? 62 Have you thought about what crops you plant? 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment). 65 Lo! we are laden with debt! 66 “In fact, we were unfortunate!” 67 And have you seen the water that you drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Have you thought about the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower? 72 We Ourselves made it for a reminder, and a boon to the desert-dwellers. 73 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty. 74

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
