The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) 1 stand up, deliver your warning, 2 Proclaim the glory of your Lord; 3 Purify your inner self, 4 And pollution shun. 5 do not bestow a favour in the expectation of receiving more in return; 6 And for the good-will of thy Lord be thou patient. 7 And [warn all men that] when the trumpet-call [of resurrection] is sounded, 8 That shall be - that Day - a day hard. 9 not of ease, for all who [now] deny the truth! 10 Leave him to Me, the one whom I created single. 11 And gave him abundant wealth 12 and sons to be by his side, 13 And made things easy for them. 14 And who yet coveteth that shall increase. 15 Nay! For lo! he hath been stubborn to Our revelations. 16 Soon I shall mount him on Saood, the hill of fire. 17 Verily he considered, and devised. 18 death seized him, how was his determining! 19 Let him be destroyed. How he calculated! 20 Then looked he, 21 then he frowned, and scowled, 22 Then he turned away, and was haughty. 23 and said: 'This is no more than traced sorcery; 24 Naught is this but the word of Man. 25 Him shall I fling unto the burning. 26 And what will explain to thee what Hell-Fire is? 27 It leaves naught nor does it spare aught. 28 it scorches (even) the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen [angels]. 30 We have appointed none but angels as the keepers of the Fire, and We have not made their number but as a trial for the unbelievers so that those who have been endowed with the Book will be convinced and the believers' faith will increase, and neither those who have been endowed with the Book nor the believers will fall into any doubt. As for those in whose hearts there is a sickness as well as the unbelievers, they will say: “What did Allah aim at by this strange parable?” Thus does Allah let whomsoever He pleases to go astray, and directs whomsoever He pleases to the Right Way. And none knows the hosts of your Lord but He. (And Hell has only been mentioned here) that people may take heed. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
