No! By the moon 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 A warning to mankind, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 From the guilty. 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
