Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
