The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
