Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 where then are you going? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
