The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
