The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
