The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
