Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you reach your graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
