Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 You shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
