Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Sure Reality! 1 How awesome that laying-bare of the truth! 2 And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is? 3 Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry! 5 The Ads were destroyed by a swift, destructive gale 6 which God let loose against them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so that you could have seen its people lying prostrate as though they were the hollow trunks of palm-trees which had fallen down. 7 and dost thou now see any remnant of them? 8 Similarly, Pharaoh, and those before him, and the ruined villages, sinned 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's Messenger, so He punished them with a strong punishment. 10 We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark), 11 That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance. 12 Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast, 13 And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow - 14 So that is the day when the forthcoming event will occur. 15 And the heaven will split asunder so on that day it will be unstable. 16 And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their right hands will say, "Come and read my record. 19 Verily I was sure that I would be handed over my account.” 20 So he shall have an agreeable life 21 in a lofty Garden 22 its clusters nigh to gather. 23 Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. 24 Then as to him who shall be vouchsafed his book in his left hand, he shall say: Oh! would that I had not been vouchsafed my book. 25 “And had never come to know my account!” 26 Would that it (my death) had ended it all! 27 My wealth has availed me nothing: 28 "My power has perished from me!"... 29 (The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him, 30 Then into Hellfire drive him. 31 then fasten him with a chain, seventy cubits long. 32 for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous, 33 And urged not on the feeding of the wretched. 34 On this day, they will have no friends 35 Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds; 36 Which none but the wrongdoers eat. 37

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
