The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
