Say: "Who guards you from Ar-Rahman by night and by day?" Yet from a mention of their Lord they turn away. 42 Or have they gods who can shield them from Us? They cannot help themselves nor can they be defended from Us. 43 Nay, but We gave these and their fathers ease until life grew long for them. See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? Can they then be the victors? 44 Say: "I am warning you by God's command." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. 45 And if a whiff of your Lord’s punishment were to touch them, they would certainly say, “Woe to us – we were indeed unjust!” 46 We shall set up just scales on the Day of Resurrection so that none will be wronged in the least. (We shall bring forth the acts of everyone), even if it be the weight of a grain of mustard seed. We shall suffice as Reckoners. 47 We gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion, and a light and reminder for those who take heed for themselves, 48 Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive. 49 And this [Qur'an] is a blessed message which We have sent down.
