(The tribe of) Thamud rejected warnings 23 and they said: "Are we to follow one single mortal, one from among ourselves? In that case, behold, we would certainly sink into error and folly! 24 Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar." 25 Tomorrow shall they know who is the liar, the insolent one. 26 Behold, [O Salih] We are letting loose this she-camel as a test for them; and thou but watch them, and contain thyself in patience. 27 And declare thou unto them that water hath been divided between them; every drinking shall be by turns. 28 But they call their comrade and he took and hamstrung (her). 29 How was then My punishment of which they had been warned? 30 Verily, We sent against them a single Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.), and they became like the dry stubble of a fold-builder. 31 Indeed, We have made the Quran easy to learn lessons from. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 32 The people of Lot cried lies to the warnings. 33 We let loose on all of them a squall of claystones, except for the house of Lot whom We saved at dawn 34 As grace from Us. Thus We reward him who giveth thanks. 35 Surely Lot warned his people that We shall seize them (with Our chastisement), but they doubted the warnings. 36 And they indeed sought to shame his guest (by asking to commit sodomy with them). So We blinded their eyes, "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." 37 Early on the morrow an abiding Punishment seized them: 38 "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." 39 And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
