Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 On a path that is straight, -- 4 It is a Revelation sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 5 So that you may warn these people whose ancestors were not warned, they are therefore unaware. 6 Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see. 9 Whether you warn them or do not warn, it is all the same; they will not believe. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register. 12
