The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 We destroyed the others 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
