۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Then look how was the end of those who were warned - 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
