۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring. 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 as the fruits [of their life on earth]; and honoured shall they be 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
