3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
