So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
